Llaés

The castle of Llaés is on top of a hill. Today, the castle is private property and the church is inside the walls that surround the two buildings. Very near the castle, about 800 metres away on foot, is the pantheon, a monument built to commemorate the 74 carabiniers and one officer who were shot by the Carlists.

Paths of the Bishop and Abbot Oliba

No one can say for certain when a country is formed, but it is possible to recognise epochs that forge the personality of a territory. One of these periods is represented in the Romanesque. The regions of Osona, Bages, Ripollès and Conflent are the most authentic examples of this vast heritage, thanks to the important figure of the Bishop and Abbot Oliba, who during the 11th century facilitated the arrival of new trends and ideas to the Catalan territory through his travels.

We invite you to walk through our land, along the Paths of the Bishop and Abbot Oliba.
